Texas A&M AgriLife Extension’s Family and Community Health (FCH) unit helps Texans better their lives through science-based educational programs designed to improve the overall health and wellness of individuals, families, and communities.

Extension Family and Community Health or FCH, offers programs to help your family with raising children, your home environment, eating well, food preservation, being healthy, managing your money, keeping food safe, and making the most of you family’s time and resources.

FCH offers the Better Living for Texans (BLT) program that provides basic nutrition classes for those who may qualify for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).

San Patricio County FCH leads the way in program designed for those who are managing their health and diabetes though education and practical knowledge with our Cooking Well Be Diabetes with Diabetes programs.
